(Frequently Asked Questions)

Over the years I have compiled a list of common questions asked by clients and colleagues. If you don’t see an answer to your question, please reach out to me directly.

Who are your clients?

My clients are primarily community-based nonprofits that are willing to invest the necessary time and resources to improve their performance. There is no “magic bullet” or “quick fix.” Clients understand that a successful project is best supported by a staff (or Board) that is willing to “roll up their sleeves” and do the work.

What are some of the problems that you solve for your clients?

I provide clients with a clear picture of what has - and has not - been working in their fundraising program so that they can make better decisions going forward; determine return on investment for multiple fundraising tactics; learn how to raise more money; and better understand how to engage the board of directors, staff and volunteers in fundraising.

What do you charge for your services?

Every nonprofit has unique needs and goals. No two projects are alike! I price all projects on a flat fee basis. There is no need for a client to keep track of hours or worry about what every phone conversation is “going to cost.” You know at the beginning what all charges will be.

Will you be the only consultant who works on my project?

While I have associate consultants who assist me on specific projects, I am the first point of contact, and clients always have access to me.
